Junjie Liang

Hi! I’m currently a Security Research Engineer at ByteDance. Before that, I spent three wonderful years as a Research Engineer with the amazing team at Bloomberg AI. I earned my Ph.D. from Penn State, where I was lucky to be advised by Dr. Vasant G. Honavar and worked as a research assistant at the AI Lab. Prior to my Ph.D., I collaborated with Dr. Jinlong Hu at South China University of Technology during my master’s degree.

My research interests span Longitudinal Data Anlaysis, Natural Language Understanding, LLM Security and Information Retrieval.

I like to have fun and stay fit! I’m into snowboarding, badminton, weight training, math and RTS games! My all-time favorite games are AOE2 and Don’t Starve Together.
